About this gallery

This is home. The studio. The start of all of it.

Edgecomb is where Maine Pottery began — in 1976, in a shed off Boothbay Road, at a wheel that's still in the corner of the back room (now mostly a plant stand, honestly).

The studio is officially retired. But the building isn't. It's become a small collective: our pottery alongside a rotating group of about fifteen Midcoast Maine artists who needed a place to show, and who we'd been telling for years to please, please come show with us.

It's the smallest of our three shops, in the quietest setting, and the one that feels most like walking into someone's home. Because it sort of is.

P.S.There's a heron sculpture out back. We named her Beverly. She came with the building.

Boothbay Road, just north of the Wiscasset bridge. The barn-red building set back from the road. Look for Beverly the heron.
